Microneedling

The Microneedling process helps to tackle damaged skin and issues such as wrinkles, acne pitting and dark spots, creating long-lasting results - months after the treatments.

A Microneedling sessions comes with the Dermalogica Prop Power chemical peel, the application of Pro-Restore Booster Serum, and post-microneedling treatment to help reduce downtime, which helps to strengthen skin and amplify the results. The Pro Pen technologies I use mean that I’m able to customise the treatment to match the needs of individual clients.

Microneedling is the one treatment I do that invites lots of questions - namely, and because it involves the use of super-fine needles, does it hurt and what are the immediate after effects? Certain areas are a little more sensitive that others, but don’t worry, virtually every client I’ve worked on has been surprised at how little the sensation on the larger areas on your face are. Microneedling FAQs

Can I expect much downtime after treatment?

There is no significant downtime. You may experience some redness and irritation for 1, 2 or 3 days after microneedling but this does subside quickly.

Is there any aftercare?

Yes! As part of your homecare included in the treatment, you will be given The Pro Restore recovery and firming concentrate to help reduce any inflammation, strengthen the skin barrier, hydrate and amplify the results by supporting the skin’s remodelling and wound-healing process. I will also advise on what to avoid for the following 24 / 72 hours after the treatment. Don’t worry - I’ve got your back!

Is Microneedling advisable for all?

There are some for whom Microneedling isn’t advised - if you’re pregnant or have acne, for instance, or have a history of eczema, psoriasis, herpes or diabetes - but it’s generally safe for most skin types, and this is something we’ll discuss in your initial consultation.

How many treatments will I need?

It all depends on your unique skin and goals and is something we’ll discuss during your free initial consultation, which will also include a patch test. A series of 3-6 treatments usually takes place over a 4-6 week period.

Does it hurt?

It depends on the area. It can be a little uncomfortable on the lip, nose and bony parts but is actually quite relaxing on fleshy areas.
